Fegefeuer Anilmathiel
The Forgotten Realmlands
Review

Fegefeuer Anilmathiel is back again with his 8th full-length album "The Forgotten Realmlands!" Fegefeuer Anilmathiel works a one-man band, stationed over in Spain. Capturing an amazing & unique style of Ambient/Atmospheric Black Metal "The Forgotten Realmlands" was released on the 24th of November (2014) bringing 8 new tracks to the table, expanding over an hour (01:02:00) of pure & powerful triumphant beauty!

This album seemed to reach out a bit more to their roots with the folk/symphonic atmosphere, and yet combines the dark & eeriness of their previous album "The Infinite Dreamlands," making it a very unique style of music which I think most would enjoy! The music is made in such a way, to where there's something everyone can definitely get into.

This album gives off a peculiar vibe of the 80's movie "Conan The Barbarian" as well as the 90's video game "Age of Empire." This concoction brews itself into an intricate ambient atmosphere, while still perfectly synchronizing symphonic/orchestral elements as well as folk.

"Fegefeuer Anilmathiel" focuses more on the beauty of nature, life, tales, adventure, and fantasy in general. It's surprisingly very uplifting music that perceives a melancholic melody which definitely adds to the aura & mindset given off in the music, along with its sublimity.

Other than hopping into an entirely-new style (such as the first initial release of "The Infinite Dreamlands") but I must say, I'm very impressed by the combination of styles that's done here! I would rather have something indicatively linked like this, other than an entirely new genre from Fegefeuer Anilmathiel. It just makes me more & more curious to see how Fegefeuer Anilmathiel will evolve genre-wise as well as the artist!

I definitely recommend the album if you're into a atmospheric, folk, & empowering orchestral music! I had an amazing time listening to this music and all I can hope for is that you will like it as much as I do, maybe even more!
